Charlie - Seven months

So much has happened since the last update almost a month ago. We flew to San Francisco and back again. Grandpa Joel drove us to Connecticut and back. We celebrated Hannuka, Christmas & New Year's. Charlie is bigger, fatter, louder and more delicious than ever.

First photo. Charlie in Connecticut with a face full of avocado. His expression tells me it only took him seven months to realize his parents and grandparents are crazy.

Next photo, Charlie in San Francisco getting a bottle from Grandpa Dirk. Hard to say if he enjoyed the bottle or the beard more.

Charlie spent the first Christmas of his life in San Francisco. He got wonderful gifts, but like any good baby he enjoyed the wrapping paper, ribbons and boxes much more than gifts themselves.

Charlie hadn't seen his auntie Beth in six months and boy were they happy to see each other again.

Sometimes, it's not really possible to explain a photo. This is one of those photos.

While in San Francisco, Charlie started trying out his vocal range. Here he is practicing some scales during Christmas dinner (you may want to turn down the volume a little).

In Connecticut, Grandpa Joel dug out a jack-in-the box type toy Joshua played with in the 70's. Charlie LOVED it.

And over the course of both trips, Charlie worked diligently on his crawling. Still a work in progress, but he's definitely getting there.

And finally, back in Forest Hills, safe and sound and smiling.
